Ken Kerr, Assistant Pastor

Ken is the Assistant Pastor for Missions at LSBT. He oversees the missions programs of the church and the LSBT Missions Board, which consists of six LSBT leaders. Ken is in charge of both international and domestic missions and travels within the U.S. and internationally to help assist missionaries and pastors. Ken also is the coordinator for LSBT short term mission trips.

Ken has been married to his wife Orvilla since 1959. They have two children and nine grandchildren. Ken holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri – Rolla. He worked in the Army Corps of Engineers as an officer and in other engineering jobs for 30 years while faithfully serving as a teacher and deacon before retiring from his job and joining the LSBT staff. Ken and Orvilla were part of the organizing team that founded the Lee’s Summit Baptist Temple in 1991.
