Psalm 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”The direction a parent takes a child will certainly play a major part in determining where the child will end up in life. Children follow and even emulate those who are training them.

When a child reaches school age a good question for parents to ask is, “who else will be training and influencing my child?” Parents should seriously consider all aspects of their child’s education process. Some major areas that should be considered are: the students their child will be involved with, the character of the teachers working with and infuencing their child, and the issues in the curriculum the child will be taught.

It is also very important for parents to know what their children’s teachers and school leaders believe and teach about God, or teach against God. It is crucial that parents expose their children to teachings that agree with their Christian ethics.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide quality Bible-based, God-centered education in a Christian environment of nurture and admonition.The Lee’s Summit Baptist Temple School is designed to assist Christian families by imparting knowledge, understanding, and wisdom to children whose lives are directed toward God and godliness.

Purpose

Lee’s Summit Baptist Temple School provides an excellent learning environment, with an emphasis on building strong Christian character, as well as teaching academic skills. A secure atmosphere is provided, giving each student a feeling of safety while away from home. This environment gives the opportunity for each student to develop mentally, physically, socially, spiritually, and emotionally.

The success of this environment and the superior level of education is due to the highly trained and dedicated teachers committed to “train up a child in the way he should go.”

Staff

The staff at LSBT School is dedicated to work as partners with the parents of the students entrusted to their care. Just as the parents, the teachers want to give each child the best possible foundation on which to build the rest of the child’s life.

All of the teachers at LSBT School have exceptional abilities in teaching and dealing with children of all ages.

Parents will find that the teachers at LSBT School strive to provide God’s love and care to every student in this school. The teachers truly care for each child’s welfare in all aspects of their life and development.

Curriculum

The Lee’s Summit Baptist Temple School uses Alpha-Omega curriculum for elementary and secondary grade levels. The Alpha-Omega system divides learning into LIFEPACs, with each LIFEPAC covering a specific segment of instruction and subject matters.

The teachers are proactive with every student, working with them and developing them on an individual basis.

Field trips are used to enhance the learning experience of each student. Trips include regular visits to local libraries, social events, and historical locations.

Students are given special achievement recognition to assist in motivation to work hard. Each teacher names a student of the week, based on academic and behavioral achievement. Every quarter recognition is given for outstanding students and all “A” grades, with acknowledgement on the “Principal’s List”, the “A Honor Roll”, and a special luncheon.
