Electronic Giving
Electronic Giving Frequently Asked Questions
1. Where can I download the E-Giving forms?
There are two forms for E-giving and they are both combined into one pdf file that can be printed from any pdf viewer program such as Adobe Acrobat Reader or Fox-It Reader, both of which are free downloads. Below is the link to the forms.

2. What is E-Giving?
E-Giving is a way for LSBT to transfer contributions directly from your bank account to the church’s bank account automatically without having to write a check. It can be setup to become a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly transaction using an amount that you specify. LSBT E-Giving uses the Automated Clearing House (ACH) Network which is secure and has been in place since the 1970’s.
3. What is required to setup E-Giving?
Two forms (both forms are in one pdf file) need to be filled out. The first is an Automated Clearing House (ACH) Debit Authorization Agreement. This provides LSBT with your account information and gives authorization to transfer your contributions. The second form is the E-Giving Setup Form. This lets LSBT know if you want to contribute through E-Giving by submitting each transaction separately, or by setting up a recurring transaction. If a recurring transaction is selected, there is a place to designate how often you want your contributions transferred (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly) and how much is to be given to each LSBT giving category (e.g. Regular Giving, Paper for Bibles, Joash, etc.).
4. How do I specify the giving details (amount and giving category) if I choose not to setup a recurring transaction?
To transfer specific contributions apart from a recurring transaction, use either your LSBT Giving Envelope or a generic “pew” envelope and designate your name, envelope number, offering amount, and giving category (e.g. Regular, Paper, Joash, etc.). This type of designation can also be used for contributing to special offerings and special payments such as Valentines Banquet, Discipleship Books, Mission Trips, etc. Please always write “E-Giving” on the envelope. This method of giving can only be used by someone who has already completed the two required forms mentioned above.
5. When will the money be deducted from my bank account?
Transactions will be processed once a week on Monday. The transfer should show up on your account on Tuesday of the week you specify for the contribution. One exception is with your first transaction, which could take up to a week to post since a pre-notification to your bank is required before any transfers can be made. The pre-notification is handled by the financial institutions and does not require any action on your part other than the two forms mentioned above.
6. What if later I want to setup, change, or cancel a recurring transaction or no longer participate in LSBT E-Giving?
If you want to setup or change a recurring transaction, you will need to fill out an updated E-Giving Setup Form. This can also be done by contacting the LSBT Business Manager (Allen Blair) at 816-246-5537. To discontinue participation in E-Giving, please contact Allen Blair at the church office. It is also recommended that you provide a simple letter with your intent to discontinue E-Giving and mail to LSBT Business Manager at P.O. Box 2134, Lee’s Summit, MO 64063 or fax to 816-246-1509.
7. How can I participate in the offering portion of the worship service if I use recurring contributions electronically?
If you are signed up to use recurring contributions, you may still place your offering envelope in the offering as part of your worship. Please specify by writing “E-Giving – Recurring” on the envelope.
8. What if I have a question that is not answered on this information sheet?
Any other questions should be directed to Allen Blair at the church office (816.246.5537 or allenblair@lsbt.org).
